Why I Write Sad Poems?




A close friend once asked me, why my poems speak of heartaches? 

 She must be concerned with my emotional status. But such a query does not merit a personal answer for my poems do not reflect me, they show the facts of life.


So I dismissed the suspicion of my personal bitterness for a fact of life is relatable and does not reflect my own life. 

 My poems are factual and do not need a debate to squeeze out an analogy. 
Why am I writing poems on unrequited love?

I write sad poems because I am unofficially a poet but officially a writer.

A writer does not choose what to write. For as long as my mind is fertile and it can conceive themes that matter to most, then why not?

 I am a passionate writer who gets inspiration from the two non-fiction facts of love: joy and pain or the cycle of hello and goodbye.

 I am just a writer and a passionate one at that.

Defining my Personal Freedom

Freedom is not to do what is prohibited in the Holy Quran but to do what is best for humanity. I shall not be controlled by a Mullah but by the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad and the words of the Holy Quran. I have faith in my personal values not clothed with racism and archaic beliefs. I shall cherish the freedom to acquire a deeper knowledge to guide my personal choices and decisions, not outside Islam. I assert without reservation that freedom for me is absolute and attainable only by me. My freedom is personal and not debatable and I will not allow books nor theories to define it for me. My freedom is my possession and could not be owned by anyone NOT UNLESS I share it willingly out of being selfless. Their Wrongs Vs. Your Rights

We can't please everybody.  So why do we have to? We can speak up anytime, politely as possible, but if there are people who will negate your words, that is a reality.  You need to speak up the truth no matter who gets hurt. As long as you speak the truth, no one can fault you.  So never hold back. Some people will choose to speak ill of you instead of admiring you. That is life and personal opinions do vary. Some will prefer to see you down than triumph.  Instead of getting sad, rise above their narrow-mindedness and focus on your merits. You do not need to prove anything to anyone as long as you know that you are on the right track.  It is your rights above their wrongs.
